Creators and social media managers keep an eye on what brands and other creators in their niche post to stories, without their own account showing up on a competitor's viewer list. Marketers save public stories as part of campaign research. Everyday viewers catch a tutorial, a product drop or a moment from a creator they like before the 24 hours run out - and plenty of creators use it to back up their own stories.

What it is not for: following someone who has blocked you, or getting around a privacy setting. It cannot do the second at all, and our terms rule out the first.
