Editorial policy
Every guide and tool page on ViewTikStory is checked against the live TikTok app and website before it is published, dated when it changes, and corrected when readers point out a mistake. We only state what we can verify, and we say so when something is unknown.
How we test
- Tool pages are tested against real, public TikTok accounts before release and re-tested when TikTok changes something. The "last reviewed" date on each tool page records the latest check.
- Guides describing app behaviour are checked in the current TikTok app. When TikTok has not documented something - such as how it orders story viewers - we say that plainly instead of presenting a guess as fact.
- Comparisons only report what a competitor's own page says, with the date we checked, and we disclose that we make ViewTikStory.
What we will never claim
- That any tool can open private accounts, friends-only stories or expired stories.
- "100% untraceable" or similar promises about TikTok's internal systems, which nobody outside TikTok can verify.
- That downloading a file gives you rights to it.
Updates and corrections
When a guide changes in substance, its "Updated" date changes too. If you find something wrong or out of date, email contact@viewtikstory.com - we re-test and correct it, usually within a few days.
Who writes
Guides are written and tested by the ViewTikStory Editorial Team. We do not accept payment for coverage, rankings or links.
Use of AI
We may use AI tools to help draft or edit, but every page is reviewed by a person and checked against the live product before publishing. Facts come from testing, not from a model's memory.
