Alternatives
Urlebird alternative
Urlebird is a long-running website for browsing TikTok videos and profiles without an account. If you mainly want stories, ViewTikStory is a focused alternative: it shows active stories with posted and expiry times, pinned highlights, reposts and comments, and downloads them - also without a login.
Disclosure: we make ViewTikStory. Urlebird is a trademark of its owner, used here only to identify the product we compare against; we are not affiliated with it. Facts about Urlebird come from its own public pages (urlebird.com), checked on 13 October 2026.
What Urlebird is
Urlebird (urlebird.com) describes itself as a TikTok viewer and downloader: its homepage, as we checked it on 13 October 2026, offers to "view TikTok videos, profiles, stories anonymously" with "no account or app needed". It is one of the better-known sites for browsing TikTok from a web browser.
ViewTikStory is narrower and deeper on the parts of TikTok that disappear: stories (with time left before they expire), story highlights, reposts and comments.
Why people look for an alternative
- Stories first. People who mostly want to watch stories without appearing on the viewer list want a tool built around stories.
- Highlights. TikTok's pinned story highlights are not mentioned on Urlebird's homepage; ViewTikStory has a dedicated highlights viewer.
- Reliability and ads. Some 2026 reviews report Urlebird being slow or down at times and heavy on ads. We have not measured that ourselves - try both and judge.

| Repost viewer | Not mentioned | Yes |

"Not mentioned" means we did not find the feature on Urlebird's pages on 13 October 2026; it may exist elsewhere.
How to switch in 30 seconds
- Open the story viewer.
- Type the TikTok username you were going to look up (or paste the link).
- Watch, or save one story or all of them. From the result, the same account's highlights, reposts and profile are one tap away.
What no viewer can do
Whichever tool you choose: none of them can open private accounts, friends-only stories or expired stories, because TikTok never publishes those. A site that promises otherwise, or asks for your TikTok password, is not one to trust - see how to tell if a story viewer is safe.

Urlebird alternative: questions
Is Urlebird safe to use?
We cannot vouch for another site. As a general rule, a TikTok viewer is safe when it never asks for your TikTok password, does not make you install anything, and does not claim to open private accounts.
Is ViewTikStory affiliated with Urlebird?
No. ViewTikStory is an independent project with no connection to Urlebird or to TikTok.
Can I see TikTok stories without an account using ViewTikStory?
Yes. Enter a public username in the story viewer and the active stories load, with posting and expiry times, without any login.
What does ViewTikStory not do that Urlebird does?
ViewTikStory does not offer a general browse-TikTok feed or trending pages. It focuses on looking up a specific account's stories, highlights, reposts and profile, or a specific post.
Try the tools
